Innovative Media Group was founded in 2014 by Jon Petro, a filmmaker who believed Midwest businesses deserved the same storytelling craft as national brands — without the agency runaround. Twelve years and 600+ videos later, that is still the whole idea.
The team is fully in-house: directors, cinematographers, editors, animators, drone pilots, and marketing pros who plan every project around a business outcome. That range shows in the work — from corporate brand films and recruiting videos to co-productions on They Call Me Magic (Apple TV+) and Killer in Question (Discovery Channel), with the feature film Bad Haircut currently in post-production.
