With over 15 years of experience in the film and television industry, Jon Petro (Founder and CEO of Innovative Media Group) is a seasoned professional whose journey began at a young age. As an 8-year-old, Jon, alongside his cousin Reid Petro (now a renowned Director of Photography), started creating videos and short films for fun. This early passion led Jon to direct and produce his first feature film, Lexibaby, at just 19 years old in 2009.

Jon’s career has been diverse and rich with experience. He has worked briefly in television for NBC and has held various roles in film, including positions in the art department, camera department, grip and electric, location management, and as a First Assistant Director.

In 2014, Jon founded Innovative Media Group (IMG), where he has continued to build on his extensive film career. Under his leadership, IMG has been involved in notable projects such as:

• "They Call Me Magic" (Apple TV) – Chronicling the life of Magic Johnson.
• "Killer in Question" (Discovery Channel) – A gripping documentary series.
• "Chasing the Rain" (Amazon Prime) – A compelling film available on a major streaming platform.

Most recently, Innovative Media Group co-produced, in conjunction with ThrowBack Pictures, an ambitious feature film Bad Haircut, which is currently in post-production. The film boasts an impressive lineup of young talent and veteran actors, with industry veterans such as Ben Mills (editor: Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Argylle, The King’s Man, Tetris) and Geoff Zanelli (composer: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia) contributing their expertise.
